LDAP is one of the options. One of my goals is to also have it be easily adapted to other systems... so someone could write up an LDAP plugin.</description>

		<description>Not a bad idea...  on web2project (http://web2project.net/ - Web-based Project Management) we regularly run into issues where someone wants to deploy it, but they want to authenticate against an existing system.  We support LDAP (ActiveDirectory implements this too) out of the box, but having OpenID and a couple others could be interesting.

As a starting point, you might check there.  I can't promise to help write code, but I'd be happy to kick around some ideas and spread the word.</description>
